Posh.Life.Miami: Young Artist Initiative - Empowering Women through Fashion

There is something so powerful about Fashion; it's not tangible, no, it is way more complex than that. As Coco Chanel once said, "Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening." Fashion can also be an influential force that drives those ideas into action and inspire an entire generation.

In case you haven't heard of Young Artist Initiative (YAI), it's a movement that's spreading like wild-fire across the 305. Their last event held at Basement Miami had over 1,000 supporters show up and the video looks like it was a blast. There were a variety of artist's creating in all types of mediums while interacting with the audience. What sets the tone for their events, is the venue itself. They're always at a different hot spot in town. The best way I can describe it is, Nightclub meets Art gallery...and it...is...awesome.

Miami's Art Culture has exploded in Wynwood, it's where we go for inspiration, to open our minds and expose ourselves to different ideas while celebrating the Artistic spirit. It has turned into a mecca for emerging artists, designers, and the creative souls. It's, dare I say, hipster paradise...but in a cool way. So it's no surprise that YAI has partnered up with Cafeina Wynwood Lounge, a local favorite, for their upcoming event.

Cafeina Wynwood is dark, sultry & exotic. A joint gallery & lounge, tapas-style restaurant and eclectic event space with a spacious patio featuring live bands. It's no wonder they were featured on CBS4 news as one of the “top Secret Bars in Miami.”

YAI is adding Fashion onto their artist lineup. With selections curated by Iron N Salt (the edgy Miami based blog), from their favorite local boutiques for a Fashion Show with one goal in mind...Female Empowerment...Gabrielle would be so proud. There will also be an incredible lineup of musicians, live performances, installations, live painting, exhibits and more.
