Giving Thanks Everyday

Thanksgiving Day is looked upon as a day to get together with family and friends to eat, sometimes dance, have a couple of drinks and just enjoy ourselves. This is not a bad thing, especially when it comes to getting together with your loved ones.

For the record...
The word Thanksgiving means - "The act of giving thanks; grateful acknowledgment of benefits or favors, especially to God." (Dictionary.com)

Unfortunately...as humans we tend to primarily focus on the things that go wrong.

But today...I invite you to focus on all the things that are right and good in your life and to express gratitude for these.

For example: Be thankful for your Health, for there are many people battling Cancer and other Diseases right now during the Holidays.

Be thankful you can See, for there are many who cannot enjoy seeing the  Sparkle of Tinsel and Twinkling lights we take for granted.

Be thankful you have a Home, there are so many lonely souls and families facing homelessness at this time.

Be thankful you have people who love you and care for you.

Be thankful that you can eat on a daily basis, there are so many in our own country young
and old dealing with food insecurity and going hungry at night.

Be thankful for the little things, you have a Job,  you can Walk,  Hear, Breath on your own.

You woke up this morning...and that is something to be thankful for.

"If we focus on all the good in our life we would find that one day is not enough to be grateful."

Let's celebrate Thanksgiving every day of our life by being grateful for all of the blessings in our life.
